AdecadeofpursuingtheChineseDreamandbuildingacommunityofsharedfutureformankind:Brazilianexpert_GuangmingOnlineAdecadeofpursuingtheChineseDreamandbuildingacommunityofsharedfutureformankind:BrazilianexpertAerialphototakenonJuly29,2022showsTrainNo.X9015,aChina-Europefreighttrain,leavingforKazakhstanfromXi'anInternationalPortinXi'an,northwestChina'sShaanxiProvince.(Photo/Xinhua)The20thNationalCongressoftheCommunistPartyofChinawillbeheldinBeijingonOct.16,2022.ThiswillmarkthefirstnationalcongressoftheCPCafteritscentenary,anditsimportancecannotbeoverstated.ItisnecessarynowtoreviewChina’sdevelopmentandremarkableachievementsinthepastdecade.In2012,GeneralSecretaryXiputforwardtheimportantconceptoftheChineseDream.InordertoachievethegreatrejuvenationoftheChinesenation,theCPChassettheambitious“twocentenarygoals”,namely,tobuildamoderatelyprosperoussocietyby2021,thecentennialyearofthefoundingoftheCPC;andtobuildChinaintoamodernsocialistcountrythatisrich,strong,democratic,civilized,harmoniousandbeautifulby2049,thecentennialyearofthefoundingofthePRC.Forthefirstgoal,Chinahasformulatedaseriesofpeople-orientedpolicies,foughtpovertyandaddressedunbalanceddevelopment.Theplainsloganof“leavenoonebehind”demonstratestheParty’soriginalintentionofputtingthepeoplefirstanditsdeterminationtoworkfortheirwell-being.Tenyearsago,theremighthavebeenpeoplewhoquestionedwhethertheChinesedreamwasmerelyadream.NowithasbecomeapparenttoallthatundertheleadershipoftheCPC,thefirstcentenarygoalhasbeenachieved.AttheeventcelebratingthecentenaryoftheCPConJuly1,2021,GeneralSecretaryXiJinpingsolemnlydeclaredthatChinahadbuiltamoderatelyprosperoussocietyinallrespects.Overthepastdecade,theChineseDreamhasbeenincreasinglyconcretized,astonishingtheworldwiththespeedandsuccessfulpracticeofChinese-stylemodernization.TheChineseCommunistPartyupholdstheprincipleof“seekingtruthfromfact”andhasformulatednationalplansaccordingtotheirownrealities.IbelievethenextgoaloftheChineseDreamwillalsobeachievedonschedule,ifnotaheadofit.Sincethereformandopeningup,Chinahasachievedworld-renownedachievements.ButtheCommunistPartyofChinahasneverslackeneditseffortsinpolicyadjustmentdespiterapideconomicgrowth.Overthepastdecade,Chinahasproposedaninnovation-drivenstrategytocreateanewengineforsustainedeconomicgrowth.ThestrategyrepresentedacontinuationandevolutionofDengXiaoping’stheorythat“scienceandtechnologyarethefirstproductiveforce”.Inrecentyears,centeringonsci-techandbusinessmodelinnovation,Chinahasbuiltaneweconomicmodel.Atthesametime,throughtheFive-sphereIntegratedPlanofeconomic,political,cultural,socialandecologicalcivilizationconstruction,theChinesesocietyhasseensteadydevelopment.The14thFive-YearPlanreflectstheimportancethattheChinesegovernmentattachestotheenvironment,societyandgovernance.AttheUnitedNationsGeneralAssembly,GeneralSecretaryXimadeasolemncommitmentthatChinawouldstrivetopeakitscarbonemissionby2030andachievecarbonneutralityby2060.Sincethen,Chinahasfurtherrefineditscarbonreductiontargets.Inthepastdecade,China’seconomyhasenteredanewstageofhigh-qualitydevelopment,andChina’simageasamajorcountrycommittedtoglobalsustainabledevelopmentandwithinternationalresponsibilityhasbecomemoreconcreteandtangible.Theworldtodayischaracterizedbymultiplecrisesandasurgeinuncertainty.Itisthereforeurgenttoreshapeandreformglobalgovernancesothatitcaneffectivelyrespondtonewandevolvingdemands.AmidsttheCovid-19pandemicandescalatingregionalconflicts,therearegrowingvoicesthatquestionmultilateralism.Inviewofthis,China’simportanceasarisingglobalpowerisfurtheraccentuated.ChinaplaysapivotalroleintheBRICScooperationmechanism.Createdin2009betweenemergingmarketsanddevelopingcountries,BRICSnowcovers42%oftheworld’spopulation,25%ofglobalGDP,andcontributesmorethan15%toworldtrade.BRICSadvocatescooperationandsolidaritybymaintainingworldpeaceandstability,promotingsustainabledevelopment,incentivizinginnovation,promotingwin-wincooperation,andstrengtheningpartnershipsamongdevelopingcountries.Throughthisinternationalmechanism,Chinaseekstopromotegreatersolidarityanddeepercooperationamongmembercountriesandsafeguardthecommonandlong-terminterestsofhumanity.Inachangingworldwherepeopleyearnforbetterglobalgovernanceandsharedprogress,ChinahasenabledBRICScountriestoplayagreaterroleininternationalaffairs.Chinahasactivelycreatedaseriesofregionalorglobalmechanismsofmutualbenefitandwin-wincooperation,andcalledforallcountriestoworkcloselytogetherforabrighterfuture.The“BeltandRoadInitiative”proposedbyChinain2013notonlyinvolveseconomicandtradecooperation,butpeople-to-peopleexchangesaswell.TheCPChascreatedanewmodelofwin-wincooperationfollowingthespiritofpeace,cooperation,opennessandinclusiveness,jointconstruction,andmutualconsultation,whichhasnotonlypromotedtheinfrastructureandeconomicgrowthoftheBeltandRoadcountries,butalsodeepenedculturalexchangesandmutualunderstanding.Overthepasttenyears,the“BeltandRoadInitiative”hasbecomeanimportantactionguideforChinatobetterinteractwiththeworld,itinterpretedChina’sdiplomaticphilosophyintheneweraasonethatupholdsmul
